The suggested route is a nice circular route from Newlands Corner down through the Surrey Hills past the old gunpowder works and then returning via Pewley Down for a total of just over 8 miles.

Shorter option: There are a couple of options to make it shorter, first is to just run to Horsell Common and then pick it up from there, or secondly on the return to continue down Station Road and go back via Viggory for a total of about 5 - 6 miles.

To Chobham Rd and left to mini-roundabout. A few revolutions of the roundabout (carefully!) and then peel off onto the grassy verge along Littlewick Rd. Before too long, left onto a footpath that takes you to South Rd. Right on South Rd and then left into Morton Rd. On Morton Rd, right into Meadway Dr, and then right into Hammond Rd. Right into Grobars Av and then alleyway to South Rd. Right and then immediately left onto Viggory Ln - follow Viggory Ln and then left onto the Little Common. All the way around the outside of the Little Common to come out opposite the Cricketers. Along Horsell Birch and then right onto Kestrel Way. Carefully around Littlewick roundabout to get to Carthouse Ln. (option to go into trading estate by Clifton's to make a small tail), then onto the Cow Field. All the way around the outside before getting to Horsell Common Rd. Turn left and then right onto Chobham Rd and then left back to Heather Farm to finish in the tradesmen's car park to the right of the Heather Farm.
